The ten-day-long “Auto China 2014” Beijing International Automotive Exhibition has finally kicked off with over a thousand cars on display from favourites like BMW, Mercedes, Audi and more!
Despite the recent reports of subpar profits from Chinese auto makers, the McKinsey report states that China may actually surpass the U.S. in terms of car market size by 2016. Big companies, like Rolls-Royce, are aiming to profit from this growth. “China is now one of our leading markets together with the U.S.,” CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos has told CNN. “In 2013, one out of four cars manufactured in Goodwood (Rolls-Royce’s bespoke design studio) came to China.”
The Beijing auto show 2014 will wrap up on April 29, but between now and then it’s expected to draw 120,000 visitors each day.
