Jaguar has released a video showcasing the interior of its all-new XE model that promises to make each trip simpler, more relaxing and safer thanks to a new infotainment system called the InControl.
The 2015 Jaguar XE will be the first model of Jaguar Land Rover to receive the InControl. The system is based around an eight-inch touchscreen display that will offer full smartphone connectivity for both iOS and Android and feature a host of specially designed apps. The InControl will also turn the XE into a Wi-Fi hotspot with the best possible signal, according to Jaguar.
Another great feature about this state-of-the-art system is that it will be able to connect to the car remotely, thanks to the InControl Remote feature. Functions such as locking and unlocking doors, locating the car in a parking lot and pre-setting the vehicle’s climate control, among other things, can all be performed through this technology – from anywhere in the world.
The InControl system will be completely accessible by voice control making the availability of certain features not only easier, but also safer.
The BMW 3-Series’ competitor will also get an industry-first laser head-up display, which will feed sharp, high-contrast images right into the driver’s line of sight. It is designed to safely and intuitively convey vital vehicle, road and navigation information to the driver.
The 2015 Jaguar XE will be revealed on September 8th, followed by an appearance at the Paris Motor Show just one month later.
