Mazda Canada has recently announced an unlimited mileage warranty that will come with a purchase of any 2015 Mazda vehicle made in Canada, starting on November 14.
The good news is that this warranty works retroactively, meaning that this it’s also good for anyone who has already purchased a 2015 model.
This first-of-a-kind standard warranty is a bold move by the Japanese automaker – meant to boost sales throughout the entire vehicle lineup. The new warranty is outlined as follows:
- 3 years or Unlimited Mileage of Comprehensive coverage
- 3 years or Unlimited Mileage of Road Side Assistance
- 5 years of Unlimited Mileage of Power Train Coverage
The best-selling Mazda vehicle is the Mazda3, and while it’s been making progressive moves toward the top of the compact car segment, it still can’t overcome the traditional best-sellers from Toyota and Honda. The Mazda CX-5 is also experiencing similar difficulties with climbing to the top of its class. This new warranty may be the boost Mazda needs to attract undecided buyers.
According to Kory Koreeda, the president of Mazda Canada, the automaker’s focus is on the long-term satisfaction of its customers. The introduction of this new warranty reinforces Mazda’s dedication to providing an enhanced ownership experience to consumers by alleviating concerns such as kilometre limitations, repair costs and resale value.
Mazda has been making several forward-thinking moves over the past years to solidify its presence on the high-production vehicle market. Between the all-new Mazda MX-5 Miata, the potential launch of a luxury goods line and now the Unlimited Mileage Warranty, the next few years should be exciting for the automaker for sure.
