86 car dealerships will get a chance to sell the first batch of Alfa Romeo sports cars in North America after almost 20 years of absence. Four of those dealerships are located in Canada, while the rest are from the United States.
FIAT Chrysler Automobiles made the announcement on Tuesday, specifying that the first models to appear in stores this year will be the 4C coupe and limited-edition 4C Launch Edition. The Canadian dealerships that will get the cars include Maranello FIAT from Vaughn, Ontario; LaSalle FIAT from LaSalle Quebec; JD FIAT from Boischatel, Quebec; and FIAT of Vancouver from Vancouver.
According to Chrysler Group LLC Vice President of Network Development Peter Grady, “each Alfa Romeo dealer will have a unique staff dedicated to the brand’s premium market clientele.” He stressed that excellent customer service is a priority for the company, which is why the dealer selection process was so rigorous.
“We require each Alfa Romeo dealer to have their sales and technical staff go through an intensive curriculum to ensure the highest levels of customer care and proficiency of the Alfa Romeo 4C,” Grady said. “We anticipate that the Alfa Romeo dealer network ultimately will exceed 300 franchises in North America.”
This yet another big announcement from Chrysler this year since the company has already publicised several big plans, including the end of the Dodge Grand Caravan and bigger focus on enthusiast cars, like the Dodge Viper.
