Unhaggle | 8 Drivers Who Could Drive Better Than You Do

Posted by | March 08, 2014 | Ownership | No Comments

Whether you drive a Chevy Traverse or a Dodge Viper, you probably take pride in your driving skills – if you’re any good of course. But deep inside, you know there are those who are even better. We’re of course talking about race car drivers – the kind of people who can turn the sharpest corners at the highest of speeds and slow down just in time before a fatal collision. Those are the abilities that make them legendary.

With that in mind, we present to you our top picks for best race car drivers of all time. You may disagree with us, but that’s the nature of the internet. And if you do disagree, be sure to leave a comment!

8. Dale Earnhardt JR

Cheez-It 355 - Practice

7. Ayrton Senn

Ayrton Senna is a Sao Paulo-born Grand Prix race car driver who accumulated a net worth of $400 million through sheer driving talent. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to an untimely death during the 1994 Grand Prix race.

6. Eddie Jordan

Eddie Jordan is a former Grand Prix and F1 driver who has done so well for himself that he managed to amass a net worth of $475 million. He has since moved on to become the lead analyst on BBC’s Grand Prix Coverage.

5. Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton is a British F1 racing driver who has appeared in several circuits, including the Renault IK with Manor Motorsport, the Formula Three Series, 2001 British Formula Renault Winter Series and many others.

4. Mario Andretti

3. Niki Lauda

Born in Vienna, Austria, Niki Lauda is one of the most recognized F1 drivers on the planet, having finished first in multiple championships. In 1976, he suffered a near fatal crash that left him permanently disfigured, but that hasn’t stopped him from racing again.

2. Juan Manuel Fangio

Juan Manuel Fangio is close to being one of the greatest drivers of all time, despite having won only five F1 championships. What makes him great is the fact that he won 23 F1 races out of 51 starts, which no other driver can boast.

1. Michael Schumacher

As far as we’re concerned, Michael Schumacher is the best racing driver of them all. He has won seven F1 championships, which is a record to this day, and 91 Grand Prix races. And if that’s not enough, he has won five world championships from 2000 to 2004.
